What do the water load classes W0 to W2 according to DIN 18534 mean?

W0: only humidity from room air (kitchen, living areas). W1: short-term water exposure (bathroom without shower, guest toilet). W2: frequent water exposure (shower, walk-in shower). The Aquastop Pro covers all classes up to W2-I.

Can the waterproofing membrane be used outdoors?

Yes. The Aquastop Pro is alkali and chemical resistant and approved for indoor and outdoor use. On balconies and terraces, it is used as a decoupling and sealing layer under tiles.

How is Aquastop Pro processed?

The membrane is embedded in freshly applied tile adhesive. Overlapping strips of at least 10 cm with compatible sealing tapes at joints, corners and penetrations. Tiles are then glued directly onto the cured membrane. Processing according to Kerakoll system recommendation.

Is the waterproofing membrane compatible with underfloor heating?

Yes. The thin PE/PP composite construction has no significant effect on heat transfer. The Aquastop Pro can be used in combination with water-carrying underfloor heating systems in wet rooms.
