What does WLG 035 mean for EPS?

WLG 035 (Thermal Conductivity Group 035) means λ = 0.035 W/mK – this is the best thermal insulation class for standard EPS material. Compared to EPS 300 (λ = 0.032 W/mK), the difference is minimal; WLG 035 is the certified trade name according to DIN EN 13163.

Why 14 mm pipe instead of 16 mm?

14 mm pipes have a smaller bending radius and are suitable for tighter spaces and complex layouts. The smaller cross-section increases the flow velocity, which is advantageous in certain system designs. The system panels are precisely matched to 14 mm.

Can this system also be built with wet screed?

Yes, the system is certified according to DIN 18560 and compatible with wet screed (cement or calcium sulphate screed) as well as with dry screed elements. Its conformity with standards for both methods makes it very flexible in use.

What is the difference between a base element and a deflection element?

The basic element (0.754 m²) covers the straight sections of the pipe laying. The deflection element (0.535 m²) enables the 180° reversal of the pipe at the end of each meander run. Both elements together form a complete laying system.
