What does fire protection class A2 mean?

Fire class A2 according to DIN EN 13501-1 means "non-combustible". This is the highest safety level for building materials. Gypsum fiber elements thus meet the strictest fire protection regulations for multi-family homes, commercial buildings, and public buildings.

What is gypsum fiberboard and why is it sustainable?

Gypsum fiberboard is made from gypsum and recycled cellulose (waste paper). This makes it an ecologically valuable building material with low primary raw material consumption. At the same time, it offers high stability, good thermal conductivity, and low moisture absorption (<2%).

Why is the gypsum fiber element only 22 mm thick?

Due to the high inherent stability of the gypsum fiber composite structure, the panel can be built thinner than EPS alternatives. 22 mm is the smallest installation height in MC Therm's drywall range – ideal where every millimeter counts.

How are the heating pipes fixed in the gypsum fiberboard?

The gypsum fibreboard has milled channels for precise and secure pipe routing. The pipes are pressed into the channels and held securely by the dimensionally stable gypsum fibre structure – no slipping during further installation.
