Do I need a gateway for the E55-B/W?

No. The E55-B/W connects directly to your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi router. A separate gateway is not required.

Can the E55-B/W control underfloor heating and cooling?

Yes, the thermostat supports heating and cooling operation with TPI algorithm and adjustable hysteresis (±0.1–±2 °C).
