Calculating Costs Realistically: 5 Steps

Step 1 – Calculate system costs (film + tube): Area in m² × system price/m². Dimpled sheet 12–14mm: €10.53/m². TempusFlat Klett: €16.22/m². Complete set: from €10.00/m². Edge area (15% additional pipe consumption): add on. Example 50 m²: 50 × €10.53 = €526.50.

Step 2 – Screed Costs (Wet Construction Only): Planogel Rheo: approx. 8 kg/m² with 5 mm coverage. 1 bag (25 kg) covers ~3 m². Costs: approx. €11.67/m². Example 50 m²: ~17 bags × €35 = €595. Drywall construction: no screed → step omitted, saves €11–14/m².

Step 3 – Accessories & Manifolds: Edge insulation strips: room perimeter × €2.53/m. Manifold: single ~€60, 4-way ~€150, 6-way ~€220. Small parts (clamps, fittings): approx. €3–€5/m². Thermostat: €25–€40/pc. Example 50 m² (2 heating circuits): ~€75 insulation strips + €90 manifold + €150 small parts = €315.

Common Questions on Thin-Film System Costs

Clip system: approx. €5–8/m² (panel + pipe), but 70–90 mm total height, cannot be retrofitted on existing flooring. Thin-layer system: €10–16/m², but only 17–22 mm, self-adhesive on existing screed/tiles/wood. The higher price results from the more complex foil production and the special screed – but demolition costs are avoided (€500–1,500 for old buildings).
