The PE-RT EVOH hook-and-loop pipe is ideal for low-temperature heating systems with heat pumps, gas and pellet boilers, and solar systems. The maximum continuous operating temperature of 70 °C covers all modern low-temperature systems and is also suitable for standard gas boiler applications if correctly designed.

What is the advantage of PE-RT over PE-Xa?

PE-RT (Polyethylene of Raised Temperature Resistance) is manufactured without a complex cross-linking process and offers high flexibility and easy processing. It is ideal for low-temperature systems (up to 70 °C continuous operation). PE-Xa achieves higher temperatures (95 °C) and is suitable for more demanding applications.

Does the EVOH barrier in the PE-RT pipe protect against corrosion?

Yes, the EVOH oxygen diffusion barrier in the PE-RT EVOH hook-and-loop pipe reliably prevents oxygen from entering the heating water. This effectively prevents corrosion of the boiler, circulation pump, heating circuit manifold, and system components made of steel or cast iron.

How do I lay the PE-RT EVOH hook-and-loop pipe in the hook-and-loop system?

The pipe is pressed directly onto the MC Klett fleece (Slim, Silent, or TempusFlat) and adheres securely without clips. The minimum bending radius of ≥ 5 × outer diameter allows for tight curves and flexible laying patterns. The printed 50 mm grid enables precise pipe spacing from 50–300 mm.
