Why do I need an edge insulation strip?

The edge insulation strip is prescribed according to DIN 18560. It separates the screed from the walls, thus preventing sound and stress bridges that could lead to cracking.

Does the strip also work with other insulation systems?

The NerthusFlow edge insulation strip is specially designed for thin-layer systems with Kerakoll Planogel Rheo. The fabric-reinforced protective layer prevents the penetration of liquid thin screed.

How much edge insulation do I need?

One pack covers approx. 20 m². Consumption is based on the room's perimeter, not its area. For a 5 × 4 m room (18 m perimeter), you will need approx. 1 pack.

How is the perimeter insulation strip attached?

The strip is self-adhesive and is simply applied to the walls along the entire room perimeter – no glue or tools required.
