How deep does the wall niche for the recessed cabinet need to be?

The installation depth is 575–665 mm (depending on the model). The wall niche must be milled to the corresponding depth. For exterior walls or concrete walls, check whether sufficient depth is possible without thermal bridges.

Why aren't there any pre-punched side openings?

No pre-drilled openings mean maximum flexibility: cable routing (from above, below, or the side) is determined individually for the construction site and drilled to fit. This avoids unnecessary openings and protects the cabinet's stability.

When is a flush-mounted cabinet more sensible than a surface-mounted cabinet?

The flush-mounted cabinet is the first choice in new builds (plan before plastering), high-quality renovations, and wherever aesthetics are important. The surface-mounted cabinet is easier to retrofit and does not require a wall breakthrough.
